He awoke with a start.

The cold creeping in, to sooth bones once weary. Eyes of molten origins blinking once, accepting this sudden rush of reality as he inhaled the damp air. For a moment he almost forgot who he was, why he might end up in such a decrepit state as this. A stiff yawn, his pale hide slowly peeled away from the grass as he rose forth to greet this tomb stone of a world. A sudden rush of sadness, inexplicably aware of things once lost. A careful look around, before prodding careful in the early light of morning.

There seemed to be little left, a cock of his chiseled skull as he limped along. These distant shores provided little comfort, the wind chill cut to the bone and he was too stubborn to admit he might be lost. Well, wasn't he always? Another inhale, oh damn what had he done this time??? It was out of space and time that he roamed now, a ghost left over from better days. An electric stare cut through the worst of it, indecisive on where he might go next. He hated to let himself down, only it was all that was left he was good at.

Managing to make it towards a fickle stream, he paused to glance at the monster reflected back. The water cool and collected, if only he could manage so much. An emptiness gripping his soul, a soft whine before he threw his head back and let forth a terrible howl. Let them come forth, demons or angels. An of it was better then being shut off by himself.

There was no denying that voice. Lips peeled back in a snarl as it touched the air an beckoned her forth. Wings would flap furiously, unbridled rage spilling forth into her blood stream. She would take to the air without a second thought, moving like a hawk through the sky, searching for her meal. He was not hard to spot, his sickening pale coat standing out against the mountain side. Wings folded in to let her drop from the sky like a rock. Legs shot out to catch her fall, talons sinking into the earth. Eyes blazed angrily, feathers ruffling out to make her appear large. Distaste had lips wrinkling to reveal ivory daggers.

<span id="ccspeech">"Its a shame you're still alive."</span> Venomous words fell from lips like stones. Tongue rolled angrily behind her teeth as she glared at the man. He had tried to commit a heinous crime against one of her members. She had stopped him, but not before he turned his fangs on her. They had fought, ripping into each other furiously. And now he was in her pack lands, something she did not particularly care for. But at least here he could be supervised, she could keep an eye on him.

It was not long before he was joined by another, a shallow sort of interest creeping up as he tilted his head back to watch her descend upon him as if she might be a rare breed of amazon. Oh my, what was this sudden rush of heat taking hold of him? A shudder, eyes diverted as she landed almost afraid to look at her. Then he'd just have to accept he was a dog without a bone, and where was the fun in that?

When she chose to speak, those words ripped into him with a strange tenacity stirring up feelings he forgot he knew he could have. Eyes of electricity sought her out at long last, soaking up every inch of those curves and colors. Almost tempting, but he refrained if only because he was starting to like her. In response he only smiled, attempting to shove the remains very deep down inside. He was a terrible sort of creature, resplendently feral and perhaps just a tad unfit for society. Some one always ended up hurt, and now that he was all by himself he had to live with it. A brow furrowed, and for once he had to wonder what life might be like if he tried being the good guy for once.

It had been ancient history since he'd given himself this much thought.

<font style="color: #683931; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"I think I could fall in love with you."</b></font> a wistfulness to his voice, like rust scrapped off a car. Unable to resist he took one little step and then launched himself over the stream to greet her at an equal level. Butter flies erupted, so exposed it almost hurt. <font style="color: #683931; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"I've never really tried to be any different, shame I listened to my own advice ."</b></font> thinking of all those hearts he rendered useless, an addiction to breaking them left him the fickle animal he was today. Relaxed around her as he glanced into the distance, after all no one could do more damage to himself then well himself.

His toxic gaze was on her, his words only fueling her fire. <span id="ccspeech">"I'd rip your heart from your fucking chest."</span> Venom dripped from ashen lips. Suddenly he is lunging over the steam, bringing himself that much closer to lethal jaws. More words spilled from her lips, et she couldnt bring herself to care. <span id="ccspeech">"That is your own fault."</span> She would hiss. <span id="ccspeech">"Why are you on my mountain?"</span> She would snap, taking a step towards him, fangs glinting against ashen lips. Feathers and hackled bristled down her back, eyes blazing. She did not care him nor was that going to change anytime soon, if at all.
