He crossed back into his kingdom, crossing the borders he had marked without so much as a thought. The forest had become a familiar comfort, something that was unchanging. He moved through the shadows, the sun having disappeared and cast the world into darkness. There was no moon out, offering not even the slightest bit of light. It had taken him all day to make it back home, his journey's totally about two days. Paws ached and his muscles screamed for rest, he had been moving nonstop, aside from when he met the peculiar winged girl on the coast.
<P>
His pace had slowed from a power walk to a lazy stroll as he headed straight for his den. Silver eyes remained fixated ahead, ears loosely tipped forward. Everything was quiet, his small pack presumably asleep. His mind was quiet as well, having worked through his issues on his trip back home. Perhaps a new mindset would put everyone at ease. Jaws parted in a weary pant, tongue lolling from between his parted jaws. His den was in sight and he greatly looked forward to sleeping in it.

For some reason she had settled herself out of his den. It had been almost a day since she had decided to wait for him to come home. She had no idea where he was but loyalty had rooted her to the spot. Blind eyes would stare out at the distance and for once her jaws would remain shut and she would not use her talents to see what was happening around her. No one really bothered her here. She had a high enough rank to do as she pleased. She had left Newt with their new pet and she had no idea where Persephone was. She was glad that the girl was happy to wander off on her own when she didn't have a job to do, it meant that Erzs's had some time to herself. She did;t really know how long she was waiting before he would arrive, an errant breeze bringing his scent to her. Slowly the woman would stand, coming to stand just beside his den without saying a word. It gave him the option to simply walk past her or to stop and chat if he wasn't too tired. She honestly had no idea why he was left or where he had gone, maybe it was important and maybe not but she would let him make that decisions.

</div>
It only took a moment for the figure of his little witch to catch his eye, pulling him to a stop just in front of her, his den so deliciously close. He peered down at her for a moment, remaining silent. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"How long have you been waiting?"</b></font> His voice was a low rumble as he peered down at her, face expressionless, not that she would know, he could be sticking his tongue out and she won't be able to see it. He remained standing, tails curled at his hocks, tempted to just drag her into his den so he could lay down at least. But judging from her scent, she had been her awhile, her perfume overwhelming for having just arrived with a perfect sense of timing.
<P>
Tension slipped from his shoulders, his figure sagging briefly with the desire to just lay down and sleep for a few days. He lingered close enough that if she desired to reach out to him, she could without much effort. He didn't know how much stronger her ability to communicate silently had gotten, if she still needed to make contact or if she could just project her thoughts now. Regardless, he had welcomed her touch since the day she strolled right up to him, plopping herself down well within his personal space.

<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"Speech."</b></font> <font style="color: #64110B;"><em>Thoughts.</em></font></div></div>
'If you wish to sleep my lord, this may wait...' She would offer, shifting her body weight away from the mouth of his den as if in offering to allow him to pass, not that she intended to leave. She would wait outside his den until they could speak. Not that what she had to say was overly important but she had nothing better to do. He stood close enough for her to touch, something that she realized might intimidate others but to her she saw it as a show of respect and kindness. She didn't know if she showed any visible signs of weariness when she had to throw thoughts at others but it was considerably more taxing on her then any other magical task she had preformed so far. But he would ask her how long she had been there and slender shoulders would rise and fall in a slight shrug. 'I struggle to judge time... I would say about a day though.' She would offer as if it was no big thing to just sit there and wait someone out. 'Out in business?' She would ask, though she would remain leaning to the side so that he could dismiss her words and go to bed if he so wished still.

<div style="background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/8aiBq0x.png'); background-color: #6e604e; background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 600px; width: 600px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; text-align: justify;"><div style="padding: 50px 50px 450px"><div align="center" style="color: #49201A; font-size: 25px; font-family: 'Calligraffitti', georgia, serif; padding: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;">
</div>
A faint smile touched his lips as she offered to wait until after he slept, her petite figure shifting away from the mouth of his den, giving him the option to dismiss her if he so chose. But she had been waiting for nearly a day, her voice echoing in his thoughts. Her question had lips curling into a sneer. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"You could say that."</b></font> Was the only answer he gave, not quite willing to divulge any information just yet. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"Come in."</b></font> He would slip into his den, positioning himself so she had room before his legs folded beneath him, belly pressing to the floor. Legs stretched as his hips flipped to the side, his upper body propped up on his elbows.
<P>
<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"What did you want to talk about?"</b></font> His voice was a low rumble, silver eyes waiting for her figure to follow him in. There was enough room for the two of them to lay comfortably within the den, thanks to his modifications. Muscles relaxed as he rested, sleep tugging at his mind, his body begging for rest. But there was more business to attend to, and he was under the impression that she would not leave until she told him whatever was on her mind.

<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"Speech."</b></font> <font style="color: #64110B;"><em>Thoughts.</em></font></div></div>
He would not give any information, nor would he immediately dismiss her so she would simply remain standing and facing him like a soldier awaiting orders. It was another moment before he told her to come inside. He would slide inside and for a moment she would remain standing as if rooted to the spot before she would turn and follow him in without a word. She would move so that they were nose to tail, easily folding her body up and flipping her hips away from him so that they were facing each other and making a bit of a circle. She would stretch massive tail out and drop it across his forepaws for that much needed contact.

He would ask her what she wanted to discuss and she would fixate her blind gaze on him. 'The slave you gave me, what you would like me to do with her.' She would state, her thoughts slipping through their contact and into his mind easily. She had her own plans for the pet but whether he wanted anything special she didn't know. 'As well to chat about Evike and your mother if the king would allow.' Yes, she had a more interesting reason for being here, she wanted to know more about each, to find out if she should be worried about Evike sneaking off with Erzs's prize, if she should let the woman take the girl... And yes of course there was the ever present concern about the mother that had been nagging at her since the meeting.
<center><link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Calligraffitti' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

<div style="background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/8aiBq0x.png'); background-color: #6e604e; background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 600px; width: 600px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; text-align: justify;"><div style="padding: 50px 50px 450px"><div align="center" style="color: #49201A; font-size: 25px; font-family: 'Calligraffitti', georgia, serif; padding: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;">
</div>
She would slide in a moment later, positioning herself so that their bodies formed a loose cirlce facing eachother. Her massive tail fell across his forelegs, the only contact that she would need to communicate. Her blind gaze fixated on him before her voice once more filled his mind. First she inquired about her slave, wanting to know what should be done with her. A brow lifted in question.<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"She is yours do to as you please with. Just keep her alive and well, I should like to use her in a pack hunt."</b></font> Low words dripped with sinister intent.
<P>
Then she would mention his mother and Evike, if he would allow her to voice her opinion. At first he said nothing, meeting her blind gaze evenly. He recalled her voice at the meeting,  warning him of her mothers possessiveness and how it could begin to affect his rule. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"You don't need to ask."</b></font> He replied dryly. She was probably the only one that he would allow to speak freely if she chose wish. She was a peculiar woman, one that he was growing rather fond of, nor would he turn away any advice from a wolf that was not his mother.

<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"Speech."</b></font> <font style="color: #64110B;"><em>Thoughts.</em></font></div></div>
He would relax as she lay with him and draped the tendrials of her tail across his limbs like a blanket for them both to curl up under. He would tell her to do as she pleased with the little slave girl as long as she was kept in good health. 'You realize I wish to poison her and see how different poisons are filtered through her body correct?' She would ask, brow raised in silent question. Though she would look away for a moment and purse her lips. 'Can you agree to give me a days notice? If there is still poison in her I can have her healed and ready for you. I'll keep her fed and strong otherwise.' Everything was deals, deals and bartering here. Though this was more of a her giving him a heads up that if he was giving her free reign to do with the woman as she pleased she would need some time to get her back in working condition...

Her next question would be responded to with a simple reply that she did not need to ask. 'I will always ask my lords permission...' She would reply in an equally dry tone, brows furrowing. It was about as close as she got to sticking out her tongue and joking. 'Evike seems especially attached to our new ward. Are we to keep them separate?' She would ask, head tipping slightly as curved ears pulled back a bit. The slave had been protective over their newest addition, something Erzs found especially odd, something even motherly... Erzs hadn't spent any time scenting them to see if they were actually related and had no way to tell if they looked similar. 'As for your mother, who controls who in that situation? Advisors who speak in hushed tones without being beckoned by the king often speak of manipulation. It was more of a statement then a question. She didn't care either way but she did wish to know who she was truly bowing to.

<div style="background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/8aiBq0x.png'); background-color: #6e604e; background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 600px; width: 600px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; text-align: justify;"><div style="padding: 50px 50px 450px"><div align="center" style="color: #49201A; font-size: 25px; font-family: 'Calligraffitti', georgia, serif; padding: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;">
</div>
A low, rumbling chuckle filled the den. He had no doubt that his little witch was going to poison her toy to the brink of death and bring her back. It was a miserable existence really. But she would never trespass again. She would barter for a days notice so that she could get the girl back into working condition. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"I have an event in mind in which she will need to be able to run. I'll host it in 4 days and then she is yours again."</b></font> He found the blind woman to be surprising reasonable when it came to her negotiations, even if she was frustratingly stubborn.
<P>
Brows furrowed when she spoke again, stating that she would always request permission. A smirk lifted the corner of his mouth as he peered down at her, he could almost say that she might have actually have a sense of humor. She would speak of Evike and her attachment to the girl, inquiring about whether they should stay separated or not. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"I'll leave that up to your discretion. If she wants to visit, then allow her to do so, but if she becomes problematic, either myself or Newt can handle it."</b></font> It was his way of silently informing her that she did have permission to punish the unruly woman should she get too out of hand. Then the topic of his mother. He bit back a groan. She would make a statement, suggesting that his mother pulled the strings. Immediately his gaze narrowed, a low growl filling his den. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"My mother is very much aware of her boundaries and has been dealt with."</b></font> His words held a slight bite to them, memories of that morning with his mother and Evike replaying in his head. <font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"You will do well to remember <i>who</i> promised you protection."</b></font> <i>Because my mother won't</i> Words hung silently between them.

<font style="color: #2B1313; font-variant: small-caps;"><b>"Speech."</b></font> <font style="color: #64110B;"><em>Thoughts.</em></font></div></div>
He found her humorous, odd how that had happened, she herself didn’t think she was humorous and no one else seemed to laugh at her and yet here he was laughing at her sick and twisted little ‘joke’. He would tell her that he had an event in mind in four days time and she would purse her lips slightly, head tipping slightly as she considered this. ’No nuro toxins, I’ll go run a test today with some lesser poisons. She’ll be ready with no need for healing by the time you need her.’ Erzs didn’t want to have to waste her energy if she didn’t have to. The slave could suffer for a bit. Though Erzs intended to set her up in a nice bed so that she could whiter in pain comfortably while she and Persephone watched and documented. He would tell her that she could decide whether or not Lux and Evike could be together and she would nod slowly. Yes, Newt could deal with it of course. ’I will keep you informed…’ She would offer on the subject, nodding her head slowly. At his growl she wouldn’t flinch or look away, she had figured it would be a touchy subject, hence why she had asked. Tired minds never dealt well with things.

He would tell her that his mother was aware of her boundaries and that she should remember who protected her. ’I trust in you to keep your own lord, but there is a certain trouble that comes with a pack of women. I have always and shall always defer to your word, do not doubt that. I just hope that you shall keep me in mind should you need a womans touch that is not your mothers…’ She would offer. His mother was the highest ranking woman in the pack, Erzs a second to her but she knew that the bond of mother and child was not always a nice one. Sometimes women needed to see another woman backing up a man, that was something she could provide. A cold unwavering force to hover behind him should he need; and possibly a shrill screech to burst eardrums when things got a bit too out of hand. Even Erzs wasn’t overly excited to be in a pack with all females…
